Codex: Limiting Dietary Supplements?

Brief Synopsis:

The Codex Alimentarius ("Codex") sets recommended standards for food safety and comes under the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO). Some experts believe that countries that are members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) may look to global harmonization of dietary supplement regulation and per WTO trade agreements these guidelines could affect legislation here in the United States leading to drastic limitations of dietary supplements.

The Metagenics Position & What You Can Do:

Some of you are concerned that Codex could result in dramatic restrictions on the types of supplement products that would be available in the U.S. Metagenics takes this issue very seriously and we are carefully reviewing Codex and its implications.
